As a smashing magazine follower, it's normal to see 'wow' sites in their inspiration posts and be lectured on with their articles on usability, design, markup-and-style separation, writing for audiences, etc... The current digimurai site seems to be a good example for all of those articles (from header to footer - your site is, for lack of a better word, COOL). Plus you don't have the disadvantage of sounding like old, dried-up web developers. =) I think you really deserve all the attention and from this blog post, I'm glad that you're still open for improvement despite all you've managed to do so far.
